I really care about people, and whether I am working with you as an individual, a group, or a couple, my hope is that you will experience that you are someone worth caring about! I find that what heals us most is connection, yet often we feel stuck or reach blocks in our connection to others, to our spiritual life, and even to our own sense of self. We'll talk about how to find healing from some of those blocks like depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, drugs and alcohol use, and addictions to sex or porn, while finding hope in setting tangible goals for the future. I believe in creating an empathetic and judgement-free environment where you can safely learn more about who you are, how you relate to others, and how to live the life you were created for. I see a wide variety of ages and life stages from teenagers to seniors.
I hold an M.A. in Clinical Psychology and Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and an M.A. in Biblical & Theological Studies from Biola University. I have been a pastor for 18 years, and currently serve at Park Hill Church as the Pastor of Community Care. I also have a background as a singer- songwriter and love to help people use their creative skills as a form of therapy. I am passionate about the intersection of faith, mental health, and sexuality and have had the privilege of speaking at conferences, churches, support groups, and on podcasts about my own story of being a gay Christian. I love living in San Diego with my chosen family, having friends over for a game night, exploring new San Diego restaurants, and writing songs. I look forward to getting to know you too!
